Overview

Wren Sent is a reading delivery platform operated by A. Rose Creative, Hasebroekstraat 6, Utrecht, Netherlands. We take privacy seriously, especially because the readings delivered through our platform are personal and often sensitive. Here's exactly what we collect, why, and how we protect it.

What We Collect

From readers (account holders):

• Email address (for login and account communication)
• Display name, tagline, and logo (for branding your readings)
• Social links and contact info you choose to share
• Theme preferences (colors, fonts)
• Reading content you upload (video links, audio links, images, notes)
• Payment information (processed by Stripe; we never see your full card number)

From reading recipients (clients):

• We collect nothing from reading recipients themselves
• No login required to view a reading
• No cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics on reading pages
• Client names shown on readings are optional labels set by the reader

From marketing-site visitors who choose advertising measurement:

• Online identifiers, browser and device information, IP address, and the Wren Sent marketing or signup pages visited
• Whether a new Wren Sent account was created after a Reddit ad visit

We do not send email addresses, phone numbers, Wren Sent account IDs, reading content, or client information to Reddit as advertising match keys.

From marketing and signup visitors who choose experience measurement:

• Interactions with Wren Sent's marketing and signup pages, including clicks, scrolling and page navigation
• Technical session details such as browser, device type, screen size, language, approximate location and IP address
• Form fields are masked in recordings. We never record the dashboard, reading pages, client-facing public pages, reading content, or client information.

Client details a reader chooses to save:

• Readers on the Growth plan can keep their own client list. A reader may save a client's name, a contact handle, private notes, and birth date, time and place for astrology work.
• This is entered by the reader, not collected from the client. It is visible only to that reader, never shown on a reading page, and never shared with anyone else.
• Readers can edit or permanently delete any client record at any time, and deleting a reader's account removes all of it.

How We Use Your Data

• To provide the service (hosting and delivering your readings)
• To send you service emails about your account and about Wren Sent itself: signing in, subscription changes, a booking arriving, and news about features and how to use them. These are part of providing the service, so they are not something you opt into, and they have no unsubscribe link. If you close your account they stop.
• To send you practice tips, new writing and other marketing, only if you asked for it. This is separate, it is never bundled with the emails above, and you can stop it at any time from your Account settings without affecting them.
• To improve the product using aggregated, anonymized usage data, and, if you choose experience measurement, sampled recordings of how marketing and signup pages are used
• With your separate consent, to measure whether Reddit advertising leads to Wren Sent account registrations

We do not sell your data. We do not share reading content or client information with advertisers. If you consent to Reddit advertising measurement, the limited website data described below is shared with Reddit for that purpose. We do not use your reading content to train AI models.

Our legal bases

• We process account, reading, client and payment information to provide Wren Sent and perform our contract with you.
• We process limited information where necessary to meet legal obligations, such as tax and accounting requirements.
• We process limited service and security data for our legitimate interests in keeping Wren Sent secure, reliable and improving it, provided those interests do not override your rights.
• We rely on consent for marketing email, Reddit advertising measurement, and session replays and heatmaps. You can withdraw any of those choices at any time.

Where Your Data Lives

• Account data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL, encrypted at rest)
• Media files are stored in secure cloud storage with signed URLs
• Payments are processed by Stripe (PCI-DSS compliant)
• The app is hosted on Railway (US-based infrastructure)
• If, and only if, you allow experience measurement, session replay and heatmap data is processed in our self-hosted Umami installation on Railway. Replays are retained there for up to 30 days.
• Service emails are sent through Resend
• If, and only if, you opted into marketing, your name and email address are also held by MailerLite so we can send it. Turning the setting off in your Account settings unsubscribes you there too.
• If, and only if, you accept advertising measurement, Reddit receives the website data described in the Cookies section below. Reddit may process that information outside the European Economic Area; see the Reddit Privacy Policy for its processing and transfer information.

Your Rights

You can:

• Access all your data from your Account settings
• Update your information at any time
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your data by contacting us
• Withdraw your consent to marketing email at any time, from your Account settings. It takes effect immediately and is as easy to undo as it was to give.
• Withdraw consent to Reddit advertising measurement at any time using the controls below. Withdrawal stops Wren Sent from loading the Reddit Pixel on later visits; you can also clear existing third-party cookies in your browser.
• Withdraw consent to session replays and heatmaps at any time using the controls below. Withdrawal stops Wren Sent from loading the recorder on later visits.

If you're in the EU, you also have rights to restrict processing and object in certain circumstances. Contact us at hello@wrensent.com to exercise a right. You may also complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or your local supervisory authority.

How long we keep data

We keep account and service data while your account is open. When you delete an account, we delete or anonymise personal data that we no longer need to provide the service. We keep records that we must retain for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or other legal obligations for the period those obligations require.

Reading Privacy

Readings are accessible only via their unique link. Links are not indexed by search engines. Only people who have the link can view a reading. Readers can unpublish a reading at any time, which immediately disables the link.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication, session management, referral links, and remembering a cookie choice. We do not use advertising cookies or session replay and heatmap recording unless you choose to accept them.

If you accept, we load the Reddit Pixel only on Wren Sent's marketing and signup pages. It sends Reddit online and device identifiers plus the pages visited, and records PageVisit and SignUp events so we can measure our ads. It does not run on reading pages or client-facing public pages, including /r/ and /p/.

Advertising measurement is optional: declining it does not affect access to Wren Sent. Your choice is stored in the first-party ws_advertising_consent cookie for up to 180 days, so we do not ask on every visit.

Experience measurement is separate from advertising measurement. If you allow it, a sampled session replay records clicks, scrolling and navigation on marketing and signup pages; form fields are masked. We use the same sampled sessions to make click and scroll heatmaps. It never runs on the dashboard, reading pages, or client-facing public pages, including /r/ and /p/. The choice is stored in the first-party ws_experience_consent cookie for up to 180 days.

Changes

We'll notify you of significant privacy policy changes via email. Minor clarifications may be made without notice.
